In his 2013 District Tournament debut, Nicholas Romyn threw four innings in relief to earn the save, allowing just one run for the eventual District Champions Dulles National. Lead off hitter Joe Lach knocked a two-RBI double to the fence which would prove to be the deciding factor in the game.
Lower Loudoun didn’t go down without a fight. With no outs in the top of the sixth they were able were to put two runners on and push one run across before falling 7-5 to Dulles National.
Congratulations to both teams.
Dulles National will represent District 16 at the Virginia State 9-10 Year-Old Baseball Tournament hosted by Tuckahoe Little League. Games start on July 18.
